The Quality Management Office at East Avenue Medical Center was created in 2014 as the central office in charge of monitoring and evaluating the hospital’s Quality Management System (QMS) and preparing the hospital for its accreditation to ISO 9001: Quality Management System. Since then, the function of the Office has evolved to spearhead the accreditation of the hospital to QMS (ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 9001:2015).
The Performance Governance System (PGS) is a holistic and collaborative framework for designing and executing roadmaps to long term reform. The PGS is a framework for formulating, executing, managing, and sustaining a transformative strategy for the public sector.
One of the most effective mechanisms that would guarantee the continuity of the Strategic Objectives is the creation of an Office for Strategy Management (OSM). The OSM is put in place to oversee the implementation and execution of the plans, as well as ensure that the operational activities of each unit and individual contribution to the bigger and more strategic picture.
Through the consolidated efforts of the Top Management and Quality Management Representative, the Office for Strategy and Quality Management (OSQM) is created to replace the Quality Management Office and be responsible for handling the Performance Governance System framework and integrate into the Quality Management System to ensure the implementation of the hospital’s strategic objectives for customer experience and satisfaction.
To support the evolvement of the hospital, the Office for Strategy and Quality Management has also evolved its functions to support the Top Management in promoting purposeful, transformative, and accountable efforts that exceed expectations and drive positive change across the organization.
