The Nutrition and Dietetics Department at East Avenue Medical Center is dedicated to promoting optimal health and wellness through personalized nutrition care, education, and research. Our mission is to provide exceptional, evidence-based nutrition services to patients, support medical professionals in integrating nutrition into healthcare, and contribute to advancements in clinical nutrition research.
- To provide effective and efficient Nutrition Care of patient in healthcare

- Inpatient Nutrition Services: Our department provides comprehensive nutrition assessment and intervention for hospitalized patients. This includes developing and implementing personalized nutrition care plans, collaborating with medical teams to address specific dietary needs during recovery, and educating patients on post-discharge nutrition strategies.
- Outpatient Nutrition Clinics: We offer outpatient nutrition services, providing individuals with ongoing support for managing chronic conditions, weight management, and dietary counseling. Our outpatient clinics are staffed by registered dietitians who tailor nutrition interventions to the specific needs of each patient.
- Nutrition Education Programs: The department conducts educational programs for patients, students of other institutions/ school interns and other healthcare professionals. These programs cover a range of topics, including healthy eating habits, disease-specific nutrition management, and lifestyle modifications to promote overall well-being.
- Research Initiatives: Actively engage in research initiatives to contribute to the body of knowledge in clinical nutrition. Our research projects focus on improving patient outcomes, perfecting nutrition support interventions, and advancing the field of medical nutrition therapy using Nutrition Care Process (NCP) and method through (ADIME) Assessment, Diagnosis, Intervention, Monitoring, and Evaluation.
