Founded in 1996, the TRTC has a rich history of delivering essential care for patients exposed to hazardous substances and conducting public health assessments in at-risk areas. In 2021, through Department of Health (DOH) Department Order Number 2021-0001, the TRTC was formally designated as the National Specialty Center for Toxicology, underscoring our enduring dedication to excellence and service in toxicology.
Today, we continue this legacy by partnering with various Toxicology Specialty Centers (TSC) across the Philippines. We address the evolving needs of our communities by providing a wide array of services, including thorough toxicology care, consultative services, diagnostic testing, research, and ongoing postgraduate training programs for toxicology nurses, medical technologists, chemists, and administrators.
As part of our dedication to advancing the study of toxicology, we are proud to introduce the 2-year Toxicology Fellowship Training Program, pioneering it among the DOH hospitals. This initiative will bolster the capacity-building efforts led by the TRTC. In collaboration with our partner TSCs, we are committed to developing programs that will enhance the skills, knowledge, and abilities of our communities, driving lasting and sustainable impact.
